Rounds 1 And 2 Rulings Summary
Part of the responsibilities we ask of our referees is to document the rulings they make during their rounds on our “Rules Incidents” cards. I’ve been taking a look at these cards and this is a summary of the rulings we’ve been having during Rounds 1 and 2 on this rain soaked US Open at Bethpage’s Black Course.

Scoring In Stroke Play
The scoring area is a sacred area from a rules standpoint. We use a quiet area in which only the officials assigned to work in scoring (we assign two officials to this duty) are allowed along with the players and their caddies.
